FacturaOS Account and Data Deletion
This page explains how FacturaOS users can request deletion of their FacturaOS account and related app data from the web or from the signed-in app.
1. How to request deletion
FacturaOS is the app and service operated by J.R.SOSA & CO. If you have access to your account, sign in to the FacturaOS web app, open Account settings, and use Delete account in the Danger zone. The app will show the data affected and ask you to confirm before deletion begins.
If you cannot sign in, email privacy@facturaos.com from the email address connected to your FacturaOS account. Use the subject Account deletion request and include the account email, business or workspace name if known, and a short statement that you want your FacturaOS account and associated app data deleted.
- Request in app: Sign in to FacturaOS, open Account settings, then choose Delete account.
- Request by email: Send the request to privacy@facturaos.com from the account email.
- Verification: We may ask for information needed to confirm that you control the account or have authority to request deletion.
- Timing: We aim to review and complete verified deletion requests within a reasonably quick period, usually within 30 days unless legal, security, billing, payment-provider, dispute, backup, or fraud-prevention reasons require more time.
2. Data deleted from active systems
When a verified FacturaOS account deletion is completed, we delete the user profile and authentication account from active systems and remove the user's access to shared workspaces.
If the user owns workspaces, deletion also removes owned workspace records and files from active systems and cancels active subscription billing for those owned workspaces where supported by the billing provider.
- Account identity such as profile, sign-in account, language preference, and workspace access.
- Owned workspace records such as business settings, clients, invoices, estimates, catalog items, templates, inventory, suppliers, routes, reports, support tickets, members, and invites.
- Owned workspace files such as logos, client photos, invoice evidence, generated documents, and workspace attachments stored by FacturaOS.
- Access records tied to shared workspaces, including memberships and accepted invites for the deleted account.
3. Data that may be kept
Some information may be retained when needed for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, billing, payment-provider, dispute, audit, backup, or operational reasons. Retained records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
FacturaOS may also keep aggregated or de-identified information that no longer identifies the deleted account or workspace.
- Billing, subscription, charge, refund, dispute, payout, connected-account, and payment-provider records handled by Stripe or another payment provider.
- Security, abuse-prevention, audit, support, email-delivery, operational, and diagnostic logs.
- Records that must be kept to comply with legal, tax, accounting, contractual, chargeback, fraud-prevention, or dispute obligations.
- Backups and disaster-recovery copies until they expire or are overwritten through normal retention cycles.
4. Important notes
Deleting your FacturaOS account is different from cancelling a subscription. Account deletion can cancel owned workspace billing immediately, remove active access, and delete owned workspace data. Previously paid subscription time, seat purchases, or payment-provider fees are generally not refunded unless required by law or approved under the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
If your account is only a member of another person's workspace, deletion removes your profile and access. It does not automatically delete the workspace owner's business records because those records belong to that workspace.
